Saints Are Blessed in the Eternal Presence of Christ

“A great multitude … from all tribes and peoples and languages” cry out, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne” (Rev. 7:9–10). Faith-filled saints from every place and time with unified voices eternally magnify the Lamb of God. As His beloved children, we, too, “shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). Joined with the throng of angels and countless saints, we shall “serve him day and night in his temple” (Rev. 7:15). In our earthly tension vacillating between saint and sinner, faith and doubt, sacred and profane, we earnestly seek Jesus to calm our fears, comfort our spirits and forgive our sins. The Holy Spirit, through faith in Christ, propels us forward, fortifying us in Word and Sacrament, to our eternal home. In the midst of our constant struggle as believers, we need to be blessed. And so we are. The poor in spirit, the meek, the hungry, the thirsty, the merciful, the pure and the persecuted are all blessed, and we will most certainly inherit the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:1–12).

Trinity Lutheran Church & School: October 2025 News

This month, we focus on the Legacy of the Reformation, upcoming events, and important updates from our church and school community.

Focus on the Reformation

October 31st marks

Reformation Day, commemorating Martin Luther's posting of the Ninety-Five Theses in 1517. Pastor Jacob Dandy reminds us that the true legacy of the Reformation is in the gifts God restored to His Church through His Word. The movement placed God's Word back at the heart of Christian life, preaching, and teaching.

This legacy brought enduring treasures, including:

  • Luther's Small Catechism—a simple guide to the Ten Commandments, the Creed, the Lord's Prayer, Baptism, Confession, and the Lord's Supper, which has served as a Christian family and congregation handbook for over 500 years.
  • Reformed Worship—returning the liturgy and hymns to the people in their own language, allowing the congregation to actively participate.
  • A Passion for Education—a commitment to building schools so children and families could read the Bible for themselves, a commitment that continues in our Christian school and Bible studies today.
  • Assurance of Salvation—restoring the promise that we are justified by grace through faith in Christ alone, which brings confidence, comfort, and hope.
  • The newsletter emphasizes that the Church must always be reformed by the eternal Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Trinity Lutheran School (TLS) Updates

Principal David Birnbaum shares that the end of the first quarter is quickly approaching.

  • Teacher Convention: Teachers are attending the National Lutheran Teachers Convention in St. Louis from October 2nd through the 4th. Please pray for their time and travel.
  • Safety and Security: A major overhaul has been completed on the fire system, and the security system has been fully updated. They are working with local city leaders, including the City Manager, Chief of Police, and Fire Chief, to make the campus safer. You may see a police presence more often, especially on Wednesdays when students attend Chapel.
  • Fundraising: To help fund needed improvements like replacing 40-year-old carpet and figuring out a plan for the gym floor, the school has applied for grants and is selling bags of Texas Roadhouse PEANUTS with a FREE appetizer card for $5.
  • Future Shoe Drive: Start saving your old shoes! A shoe drive for developing nations is planned for February.

Let’s continue to grow together in faith, fellowship, and service. Pick up your copy at the church or school office or view it online.
