OUR FATHER’S BUSINESS: May 3 - 8 

WELCOME 

Please ensure that you sign one of the attendance registers located in the narthex, stairwell, and fellowship hall. Visitors, please include your address and/or email. Members, please include any changes to your contact information.

This week you will find the May calendar, VBS Student & Volunteer sign-up sheets, and the Portals of Prayer devotionals. 

EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY 

Trinity Lutheran Church is seeking a reliable, detail‑oriented custodian. This part‑time position supports the care and cleanliness of our facilities and plays an important role in our ministry. If you, or someone you know may be interested, please contact Roger Tollefson, or the church office, for more information. This Friday, May 8, is the deadline to apply.  

MAY 10TH EVENTS 

We will recognize our Trinity High School Seniors at both morning services. If your child will participate, please call the church office before noon on May 6. 

Confirmation Questioning for our Youth Confirmands will also be on May 10th, during Pastor Dandy’s Bible Class (9:15). All are invited. 

VBS VOLUNTEERS MEETING 

Tuesday, May 19th, all those who are helping with Vacation Bible School are asked to attend an informational meeting that will give you schedules, lesson topics, and other information for helping guide our children at VBS this year.  We will also hand out t-shirts that evening.  There will be two times available, at 4 pm and at 6 pm.  If you cannot make it to one of the meeting times, please contact Cathy Higley at 913-370-0605.  Looking forward to a wonderful year at our Tropical Trek! 

KAIR RADIO BROADCASTS 

Only five more! We have 47 of our 2026 KAIR radio broadcasts sponsors. The cost is $50.00 per Sunday. Simply mark your gift, “KAIR BROADCAST.”  

BLOOD DRIVE UPDATE 

A huge thank you to all that gave blood on April 27th. The Red Cross collected 25 units, exceeding our goal of 21 units.

YOUTH CHORAL CAMP 

An Atchison Area Choral Camp for students in 3rd-8th Grade is being offered July 13-17; and June 15-19 for High School students. $30.00 registration. Hosted by United Methodist Church. Contact Zac Clemens at 913.364.7108 or zac.clemens@gmail.com to enroll.

STEWARDSHIP REPORTS 

First quarter giving statements were emailed this past week. The email will come from automail@360members.com For those that requested their statement be mailed, they will go out this week.  

MAY OCC NEEDS 

In May we collect quality toys: balls, cars, yo-yos, figurines, toy animals, pop-its, Barbie (or similar) dolls, baby dolls, action figures, blocks, instruments, etc.  

MAY FOOD PANTRY NEEDS  

This month’s suggestions are: complete pancake mix, peanut butter, jelly, canned peas, baked beans, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, toilet paper, diapers (only size 4 and 5 are needed). There are many items we no longer accept, please check the list in the narthex if you would like to bring something other than what is suggested. (Please, no expired or near expired food.) SIGN UP TO ATTEND OR VOLUNTEER FOR VBS 

Sign-up sheets for our upcoming Vacation Bible School held on Monday, June 1 - Friday, June 5 are in the narthex. You may complete the paper form in the narthex or register online at https://vbsmate.com/events/TrinityAtchisonKS/31679.  If you have any questions, please call or text Cathy Higley at 913-370-0605.  We're excited to enjoy games, snacks, music, and crafts every day; and learn Bible stories of how Jesus came to seek and to save the lost!

Thrivent Action Team Cards are available. Action Teams can be used for any type of community service project, fundraiser, or educational event. Contact your Thrivent representative if you need help applying.
