Youth attending the Higher Things Conference will have donuts and coffee available in the school cafeteria during Bible Class today. Your generous, free-will offering will help with their fundraising efforts.

ADULT INQUIRERS’ CLASS

HIGH SCHOOL YOUTH

ANNUAL REPORTS 

Next Monday, Feb. 2, at noon, is the deadline to submit your annual reports to Rhonda for the Annual Voter’s Meeting on Feb. 15. You may email them to churchoffice@trinityatchison.org.  

 

KAIR RADIO BROADCASTS 

We are almost halfway to our goal! We have 25 of our 2026 KAIR radio broadcasts sponsors and need 27 more. The cost is $50.00 per Sunday. Simply mark your gift, “KAIR BROADCAST.” 

 

SEEKING LENTEN DINNER HOSTS 

The Lenten season is just around the corner. We are seeking 5 groups to host a meal before our Lenten services. Please contact the church office at 913.367.2837. The following dates are available: February 25, March 4, 11, 18, and 25. Please note that Lenten worship services will begin at 6:30p this year. Meals will be served from 4:30 – 6:00p.  

 

UPCOMING 2026 BUS TRIPS 

We have two bus trips planned for March and April. On Thursday, March 19, we will go to Union Station to experience “Titanic: An Immersive Voyage”. Cost will be $30 (including bus fee). On Saturday, April 18, we will go to the noon matinee at New Theater & Restaurant to see “Elvis and Elton.” Cost will be $61.50 (including bus fee). Watch the church bulletin in February for sign-up sheets to these events! 

 

FIRST AID/CPR/ AED CLASS 

Amberwell Hospital is offering a First Aid, CPR, AED certification class on February 10th from 1:00-4:30 PM.  The class will be held at Amberwell downtown located at 705 Commercial St in Atchison.  The cost for the class is $25.00.  This is a class that is open to the community and space is limited.  To register email Allison Benner at: abenner@amberwellhealth.org Contact Marcene Selberg at 913-370-2736 if you have questions. 

 

STEWARDSHIP REPORTS 

End-of-Year giving statements have been emailed/mailed. If you haven’t received yours, please let the office know.  

ADULT TRIP TO PENNSYLVANIA 

A second adult trip with Scholastica Travel has been planned for October 13-16, 2026. We will see the historical sights of Philadelphia, Gettysburg, and the Lancaster Amish Country. We will also see “Joshua” at the Sight & Sound Theater. If this is something you’re interested in doing, please come to the informational meeting on Tuesday, February 3 at 7:00 PM in the church basement. For those who already know they want to go, please bring your $250 per person deposit to save your spot. (Make checks out to the Fellowship Committee.) If you can’t make the meeting but want more information or want to reserve your spot, please call Sherri Smith at 913-367-6992.

VBS SAVE THE DATE!  

Make plans now to come to Vacation Bible School, June 1 - 5.  This is for ages 3 through 8th grade. The theme this year is "Tropical Trek.”   We will have lots of activities and fun and food and learning about Jesus who came to seek and save us!   

 

JANUARY FOOD PANTRY NEEDS  

Thank you to all who donated so generously to our Food Pantry this past year! We were blessed to assist 70 families in 2025. Our shelves are stocked and ready to assist more families in 2026.  

 

JANUARY OCC NEEDS 

Thank you for your generous support during 2025! In January we collect hygiene products: toothbrushes, combs, brushes, little mirrors, nail clippers/files, deodorant, fun band aids, wash cloths, lip balm, and eating utensils. 

 

THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS/ACTION TEAMS 

Thrivent members with 2026 Choice Dollars need to direct them to your favorite church or nonprofit by March 31st. You can do this online through your Thrivent Account or call 1-800-847-4836 and say “Thrivent Choice” when prompted.  If you would like your gift to be deposited in a specific account, please call the church office at 913.367.2837. Action Team Cards are also available. Action Teams can be used for any type of community service project, fundraiser, or educational event. Contact your Thrivent representative if you need help applying.
