KAIR RADIO BROADCASTS
Only four more! We have 48 of our 2026 KAIR radio broadcasts sponsors. The cost is $50.00 per Sunday. Simply mark your gift, “KAIR BROADCAST.”

Our next Blood Drive will be Monday, June 22, 1:00-5:00p. You can visit RedCrossBlood.org or call 1-800-RED CROSS to make an appointment.
CLOTHING DRIVE
Trinity’s teachers are collecting clothing donations all summer to raise funds for future LEA Conventions. The new shed by the bus barn has a pull-down window so clothing can be dropped off at any time. Thank you for your support!
HELP NEEDED FOR COFFEE CLEAN-UP
It’s time to sign up for summer coffee clean-up. There is a new sign-up sheet for June, July, and August in the cafeteria on the wall by the counter. Duties include the cleaning of the coffee pots and bringing 50 cups each in sizes 8, 12, and 16 ounces. For questions, please contact Linda Goodpasture at 913.426.3185.
WIP CRAFT NIGHT
There will be no Works in Progress this month.
JUNE OCC NEEDS
We are collecting hygiene products for June: toothbrushes, combs, brushes, nail clippers/files, eating utensils, deodorant, lip balm, fun band aids, and washcloths. No soap, please. It is no longer allowed.
JOIN US FOR THE FUN RUN/WALK
Lace up your shoes and join us for the Amelia Earhart Fun Run/Walk in Atchison! We’d love to see a strong showing from Trinity Lutheran Church as we walk, run, and enjoy fellowship together. Let’s plan to gather before the event for a quick group photo to represent our church family. Whether you’re running for time or just enjoying the walk, this is a great opportunity to connect and have fun as a community.

LAYETTE KIT DONATIONS
Orphan Grain Train helps provide baby items to needy moms around the world. Theodora Circle is collecting the following items to complete layette kits. Each kit receives the following items: 4 cloth diapers, 4 diaper pins, 2 rubber or reusable swimmer pants (not diapers), 2 washcloths, 1 sleeper, 2 onesies, 1 receiving blanket, and 1 blanket. If you would like to donate to this cause, items can be placed in the Layette Kit box in the Narthex.
THRIVENT ACTION TEAMS
Thrivent Action Team Cards are available. Action Teams can be used for any type of community service project, fundraiser, or educational event. Contact your Thrivent representative if you need help applying.
CHANGES FOR THRIVENT CHOICE DOLLARS
Thrivent has made changes to their Thrivent Choice program. Previously only select Thrivent members received Choice Dollars; now all members will receive them. All Choice Dollars are now available in full at the beginning of the year and may be directed anytime through December 31, instead of the old deadline of March 31. If you haven’t already allocated your funds, please consider Trinity Lutheran Church or School. Contact your Thrivent representative for assistance.
THOSE WE SUPPORT
In your box of offering envelopes, you will find several envelopes that go toward supporting special LCMS missions. We will begin highlighting a few of these, so you can see how your giving is a blessing to these groups.
AbleLight formerly known as Bethesda Home, was founded in Wisconsin in 1904, and now has facilities in 11 states. Through Christian love, their mission is to support and advocate for all people with developmental disabilities to ensure they have security, dignity, and hope. Their services are tailored to empower people to thrive in every aspect of their lives.
Some of their services include: congregate living, supported living, day programs, and employment support. AbleLight Thrift stores give 100% of their profits to help fund these services. The closest store to Atchison is in Wichita. You can visit Ablelight.org to find out more and to read inspiring stories of their impact.
The Lutheran Heritage Foundation seeks to provide Lutheran churches around the world with books, vital to understanding the Lutheran faith, in the language of the people. Luther’s Small Catechism has been translated into 150 languages. Thousands of people, in more than 100 countries have come to faith in Christ because they’ve been able to read books like The Good News About Jesus and the children’s book of A Child’s Garden of Bible Stories. LHF not only translates these books but prints and distributes them free of charge to the recipients.
Please be in prayer for LHF Finnish author Dr. Päivi Räsänen and editor Bishop Juhana Pohjola. They have been squaring off in Finland’s courts for a “hate crime” for charges of “incitement against an ethnic group” for their booklets’ Biblical teachings on marriage and sexuality. The Finland Supreme Court has now declared them guilty and imposed fines and required that certain words, phrases and sentences must be removed. An appeal has been filed to the European Court of Justice. LHF is committed to helping cover the costs of these fines for not only the author and editor, but also the Luther Foundation—Finland, which is being fined 5,000 euros (about $10,000 USD).
